CORONAVIRUS CODE OF CONDUCT FOR MEMBERS AND VISITORS

 

Please always follow social distancing rules

Following updated guidance from Wales Golf, please read the information below carefully, to understand the changes that have been made for golf to be enjoyed safely at the VLGC.

 

All tee times must be pre booked – there is no turn up and play facility.

 

 

ON ARRIVAL

 

 

Whilst on site, please ensure that social distancing rules are always maintained for the safety of your fellow golfers, other visitors and our staff.

 

Please change into your golf shoes in the car park. 

Always remember to wear a face covering when in enclosed public areas. The Clubhouse and clubhouse toilets are currently closed however, the course toilets are open. The office is closed for face-to-face enquiries

 

 

Please follow the one-way systems we have in place.

 

 

PLEASE REPORT TO THE PRO’S SHOP AS SOON AS YOU ARRIVE

 

Please report to the Pro’s shop 10 minutes before your tee time

 

All member names must be provided when booking for track and trace.

Pro shop staff will be checking players on the course match the booked tee time.

It will be members only in the initial phase of re-opening.

 

Where possible, please make any payments prior to the day of play via card or BACS, or, if you are paying on the day, please try to pay by card to avoid exchange of cash.

 

Make your way to the 1st tee so that you arrive there at your tee time.  Please keep the 2 metres social distance rule in mind and do not form larger groups on the 1st tee.

PLAYING GOLF


Play will be in 2 households only and tee intervals will be 10 minutes.  If you have already booked a tee time or are about to, will you please ensure you are playing with 1 other household only and your travel to the course conforms to the legislation provided by the Welsh Government and Wales Golf.  The club will not accept responsibility if any player is subsequently stopped by the authorities to prove that their travel plans conformed to the legislation.

 

Buggies can be hired for single use only, unless both individuals are from the same extended household.  However, 2 sets of clubs can be carried on the buggies.  All buggies will be disinfected each morning before use.

 

The bunkers will be back in play but with no rakes, so upon entering the bunker, lift your ball, smooth area with foot, place your ball, play the shot, then smooth area with your foot – the green staff will rake them thoroughly twice a week.

 

Please do not remove the flagstick.  We have installed lifters to enable you to retrieve your golf balls by using your golf club and not your hands.

 

Do not pick up stray balls on the course and only handle your own ball when playing your round.

 

Ball washers are not in use

 

If you sit on any of the benches, please ensure that you adhere to the 2-metre rule.

 

Please do not share scorecards or pencils with your playing partners as we are currently marking our own cards.

 

Shoe cleaners are not in use.

 


Putting and Practice area can be used but strict social distancing must be adhered to and let the Pro Shop know you are using it.

AFTER GOLF

 

 

No gathering after your game

Please return to your car immediately after you have finished playing
